We are sorry...there
are no public shows booked on our calendar in the near future. Most of our
shows are booked for private groups of 12 to 250 people.
If you know a
restaurant that would be a good place to sponsor a murder mystery
dinner, then by all means, suggest that they contact us!
The cost for a good
dinner and quality entertainment usually falls somewhere between $75 and
$100 per person. If the owners of a particular establishment think
customers like you are willing to pay that price for a ticket, then a
"PUBLIC" show just might be feasible to promote.
Be wary of Publicly Advertised Murder Mysteries
Often, we receive phone calls
from a couple wanting a reference of a good murder mystery dinner show
they can attend. Regrettably, whenever we used to refer people to various
restaurants, those disappointed referrals have always called us back to
complain about how disappointed they were with the restaurant we referred
them to. Imagine that...they call us back and complain about how bad
our competitors are! This is why we no longer offer referrals for couples
- or even groups of less than 10 people.
The majority of public
Murder Mystery Plays advertised at restaurants, hotels and bed and
breakfasts use cheaper, amateur actors or volunteers. This is only a natural
result of keeping business profits above table.
Know this: just because the ticket price is
at a
premium of $75 to $100 does not guarantee that the manager hired the best
quality actors, script, producer, or microphone amplification system.
Lukewarm or mediocre reviews from guests explains why these food
establishments don't try to get away with promoting murder mystery dinners
on a steady, weekly basis.
