    Three Types of Productions…

Full Production  =  Professional actors  play all roles

Combo Production  =  Our actorsplus yours

100% Interactive   =  Your guests play all the roles

All of our Murder themes can be 'executed' by any of the above 3 formats.  Our Detective is the one required actor for ALL of the 3 formats above. The Detective acts as the facilitator and MC to keep the play flowing smoothly. The price ranges of our play packages will fluctuate depending on which format you choose, i.e., the number of professional actors we will supply for your play.

More about our "Full Productions"

For this version, just relax and forget all the advance preparations. Simply show up for cocktails and dinner, schmooze with your guests and let  the mystery  unfold. A "Full Production" means we supply all the actors whom are dressed in costumes – according to their roles.

Our actors stay in character 100% of the time as they mingle with your guests. During dinner, they sit at random tables and carry on interesting and bizarre conversations with anyone game enough to start a conversation with them. They will answer questions when asked by other attendees or by the Detective.

Each Mystery is a "Two - Act" Play

Murder Mystery plays consist of two-acts, but they can also be presented as one continuous act if you have a limited time schedule.

Act I lasts approximately 55 to 65 minutes. After about a  10 - minute intermission, Act II takes about 25 to 35 minutes. The Murder Mystery concludes with climactic music as the perpetrator is arrested, handcuffed, and led out of the room.

Detective reports are handed out to all guests – including the "planted" actors. Everyone is a suspect and can ask questions of anyone else.  The Homicide Detective  interacts with guests, encourages audience participation, and is skilled at the art of "ad-lib humor" when relating to all their questions and answers.

ABOVE & BELOW:  Ordinary walls can be magically transformed into a luxurious, warm, and  elegant interior of a grand "Mansion". Simply hang our Hollywood-styled, painted backdrop against any wall in your room and then watch that "WOW"  factor happen as your guests' enter the room for the first time.  Create a classy ambience!
Size: 10' high X 15' long. Cloth backdrops are very lightweight and can either be pinned up with push pins, or mounted on vertical poles and bases to avoid minor pin-hole damage to walls.

ABOVE: This backdrop depicts a wall in a museum or mansion. The hallway adds perspective and depth to your room, especially if you're in a confined area.    Size: 10' X 20',  The length can be shortened by folding excess cloth from both ends behind.

ABOVE: Guests sit in front of our Egyptian backdrop. Painted backdrop looks like the wall of a mummy's tomb and is used for Murder in the Louvre and Lord Wellington's Haunted Mansion.

RIGHT: We can provide the Mona Lisa oil painting in a gold-leaf frame so you can set up your own "official" looking museum display. The client that set-up this display also printed a descriptive placard that describes the history of the painting
.

ABOVE: Candelabras create perfect ambience for a Murder Mystery Dinner  setting. If your decorating budget is limited, consider supplying your own candelabras as centerpieces to add to the mystery ambience.  (NOTE: Some venues may have restrictions on the use of lighting and burning candles. Battery operated candles can be bought off from the internet.)

A scavenger hunt helps add fun and excitement during the Murder Mystery.  The hunt encourages guest interaction and helps their personalities to warm-up. Your guests get in on the fun of being a "sleuth" and discovering their own clues. Standard Police issue latex gloves, evidence bags and flashlights are provided for each team. Team sizes can go from 3 to 11 guests .

A scavenger hunt will depend on the type of venue. Will your party be at a public facility or private? Will the general public (other than your guests) be free to roam about the vicinity of the Murder Mystery?  Unless it's a private location, the public might just possibly interfere with your pre-planted evidence.

Hunting for clues can take place inside a mansion, or large banquet room. An outdoor scavenger hunt can also be fun - especially in residential areas. But bad weather may put a “damper” on this activity (except in Sunny California where it never rains during the summer months!).

Plan your own scavenger hunt with printed sets of clues for each team, then provide the evidence and tools for each team to conduct their investigation. If you decide to do this yourself, we will gladly give you suggestions that will help the scavenger hunt be a success! This does take a lot of time and preparation, so plan on about 2 - 3 hours. Or, if you choose, our company can layout the whole scavenger hunt and save you the time.
